Gabrielle Figaro-Jones

Ms Gabrielle Figaro-Jones is an Attorney at Law with diverse legal and managerial experience across the public and private sectors. She holds a Master of Laws degree in Professional Practice with a concentration in Human Rights Law and currently serves as the Registrar and Chief Marshal of the Caribbean Court of Justice.

Ms Figaro-Jones began her legal career in private practice with the firm S. Saunders & Co., where she spent five years before joining the Ministry of Rural Development and Local Government as Corporate Secretary. In that role, she provided legal, administrative and supervisory services to Municipal Councils and Secretariat Departments, managed court proceedings, and appeared as legal counsel. In 2017, she received the CEO’s Award for Extraordinary Service and Dedication and in 2019 she was recognised with the Most Outstanding Manager Award.

Ms. Figaro-Jones joined the Judiciary of Trinidad and Tobago as Assistant Registrar and Deputy Marshal in 2020. In this role, she functioned as the project lead in the introduction of electronic decrees absolute in the Family Courts and was integrally involved in the digitisation of manual court processes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Mrs. Figaro-Jones is certified in Conflict Resolution, Mediation and Negotiation, Strategic Planning and is trained in Judicial Settlement Conferencing and Performance Management.
