Justin is a Tenured Senior Lecturer at the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies, St Augustine. Prior to joining UWI, Justin was a Visiting Lecturer at King’s College London and a Teaching Fellow at University College London (UCL).
Justin obtained his LLB from the University of Kent in 2011. He then completed his LLM in Intellectual Property Law at King’s College London in 2012. Following this, he completed his PhD at King’s College London in 2016. The book resulting from Justin’s thesis, ‘The Right of Communication to the Public in EU Copyright Law’ was subsequently cited by the Court of Justice of the European Union in the Advocate General’s Opinion on the YouTube case.
Justin’s primary research interest is focused on copyright law, and he has published books and articles in the area as well as drafted copyright laws in the Caribbean region.
