Symone M. Mayhew, KC

Symone Michelle Mayhew KC is a Jamaican attorney-at-law and a graduate of the University of the West Indies and the Norman Manley Law School. She has served at both the public and private Bar in Jamaica and currently leads the boutique law practice, MayhewLaw in Jamaica.

Her principal areas of practice include Civil and Commercial Litigation and Administrative Law. She has represented clients in a broad spectrum of matters before Tribunals and Commissions, the Supreme Court, the Court of Appeal in Jamaica and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council. She also appeared as counsel in the Rockhard series of cases in the Original Jurisdiction of the Caribbean Court of Justice.

Mrs. Mayhew KC served as an Associate Tutor at the Norman Manley Law School for over twelve years. She is a member of the General Legal Council of Jamaica and serves as the Chairperson of the Council’s Anti-Money Laundering/Counter-Financing of Terrorism  Committee,  responsible for regulatory oversight and compliance in the legal profession.
