Eminent Caribbean International Law Jurist: The Rule of International Law in the Caribbean

The making of the Caribbean in the International Law has been the work of the five centuries and the exertions of generations of legal architects some of whose voices have been silenced and others whose labour is now retiring into relative obscurity.

All together, they have produced profound perspectives on such concepts as self-determination, sources of the international law, relationship of international and national law, territorial sovereignty, human rights, enviromental law, law of the sea, trade law, dispute settlement and the Caribbean Court of Justicve.

This book recognises and celebrates these monumental achievements. It also invites another generation of Caribbean jurists to walk amoung these edifices and be inspired to continue the Caribbean contribution to the further development of internationl law into a truer instrument of peace and justice throughout the world.
