Master Alana J. Jameson

Master Alana J. Jameson was called to the Bar of Trinidad and Tobago in 1998, thereafter practising mainly in the Family Law jurisdiction.

In 2004, she became a full-time member of staff at the Council of Legal Education, Hugh Wooding Law School. In 2013, she became Course Director for Family Practice and Procedure and Probate Practice and Procedure (the latter for one year). She continued as the Course Director for the Family Law Programme and, in 2017, won the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago’s Excellence in Teaching Award.

In 2018, she was appointed as a Master of the High Court, Family and Children Division, where she currently sits in the Family Court.

In June 2025, her Practice Note entitled “Common Applications made to the Court for Parties in Common Law Unions and the Orders made by the Courts in such circumstances: A study of Barbados, Guyana and Trinidad and Tobago” was published by the UWI St. Augustine Law Journal.

Master Jameson currently serves as a Vice President of the Trinidad and Tobago Association of Women Judges.
