Jason LaCorbiniere is Cluster Lead for Poverty, Governance and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Barbados and the Eastern Caribbean Multi-Country Office. He leads the Poverty, Governance and M&E Cluster, overseeing initiatives that strengthen citizen security, advance access to justice, and promote inclusive social protection in the Eastern Caribbean.
An economist by training, Mr. LaCorbiniere previously served as Head of Policy Development and Debt Management in the Research and Economic Analysis Department at the Central Bank of Barbados, where he provided high-level technical advice on fiscal and monetary policy, public debt sustainability, and economic resilience. His work at the Central Bank positioned him at the intersection of evidence-based policymaking and macroeconomic governance, shaping national strategies for growth and stability.
At UNDP, he oversees flagship initiatives including initiatives focused on crime data and digital public goods, criminal justice reform, restorative justice, social inclusion and innovative financing.
