Honourable Mr Justice Nolan Bereaux, JA

Mr. Justice Bereaux was admitted to the Trinidad and Tobago Bar in November 1981. He graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill, Barbados with a Bachelor of Laws Degree in June 1978 and obtained his Legal Education Certificate from the Hugh Wooding Law School in July 1981. He also received his LLM in International and Comparative Law from Georgetown University Law Centre in Washington DC in May 1994.

Mr. Justice Bereaux was first appointed to act as a Judge of the High Court in September 1997 and accepted a permanent position six months later on 1st March 1998. He was appointed a Justice of Appeal on April 20th, 2009.

Prior to becoming a Judge, Mr. Justice Bereaux spent his entire legal career at the Solicitor General’s Chambers, which he joined in January 1982, rising to the position of Deputy Solicitor General as at September 1997.
