Kisha T. Sutherland

Ms. Kisha T. Sutherland is the Director of the Asset Recovery Unit (ARU) at the Regional Security System (RSS), bringing over a decade of experience in financial investigations and asset recovery. Her expertise was shaped through roles at the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Financial Intelligence Unit and as Legal and Financial Investigations Advisor at the RSS. She currently leads strategic initiatives in proceeds of crime and asset recovery, advocates for modern legislation, and fosters regional partnerships to strengthen financial integrity across RSS Member States. 

Under her leadership, the RSS ARU has expanded its Anti-Money Laundering, Combating the Financing of Terrorism & Counter Proliferation Financing (AML/CFT/CPF) programmes, including initiatives on asset management, counter-proliferation financing, and regulation of virtual assets. Ms. Sutherland is a certified CFATF mutual evaluation examiner, a member of Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists (ACAMS), and a distinction graduate of the University of the West Indies. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys following global affairs, is passionate about dogs, and proudly considers herself a skilled farmer.
