Douglas Mendes SC

Douglas Mendes SC is a distinguished advocate who has appeared before courts at every level across the Caribbean, including the Caribbean Court of Justice and the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, in numerous cases involving constitutional and public law matters.

He is a former judge of the Court of Appeal of Belize, he has also served as a temporary judge of the High Court of Trinidad and Tobago. Mendes is a former lecturer at the University of the West Indies and holds a Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford.
