Meet the Conference Speakers

The 8th Biennial Conference of the CCJ Academy for Law will be held from November 26 to 28, 2025, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, under the theme: “The CCJ at 20: Reflections on Caribbean Jurisprudence.”

As the Caribbean Court of Justice (‘CCJ’) marks two decades of service to the Region, the conference will reflect on seminal developments in Caribbean jurisprudence from the CCJ and other courts in the Region and explore the role of the CCJ and other stakeholders in the future development of Caribbean jurisprudence.

The conference will provide a dynamic platform for stakeholders across the Caribbean to engage on the evolving landscape of Caribbean jurisprudence. The sessions will critically discuss crucial themes such as:

  • Constitutional Law and Fundamental Rights
  • Criminal Justice Reform
  • Commercial Law
  • Family Law
  • The Law of Wills and Estate Planning
  • Environmental Justice
