The CCJ Academy for Law mourns the loss of one of its Eminent Caribbean Jurists, Sir Shridath Surendranath Ramphal GCMG AC ONZ OE OCC KC FRSA NIIV OM. Sir Shridath was a founding father of the Caribbean Community and a pillar of the Commonwealth of Nations. He contributed the paper Triumph for UNCLOS: The Guyana-Suriname Maritime Arbitration 2007 to the CCJ Academy for Law’s publication Eminent Caribbean International Law Jurists: the Rule of International Law in the Caribbean in which he was justly acknowledged as an Eminent Caribbean International Law Jurist. Sir Shridath was an exceptional human being and his monumental contribution to the Caribbean Region will continue on in the lives of innumerable of the people of the Caribbean region, as long as it lasts.
