The CCJ Academy is pleased to present its first webinar series! The Academy will convert its 6th Biennial Conference into three online symposia all focused on the unprecedented legal issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. Those legal issues are global and local and they invade virtually every aspect of the ways citizens live their lives. From the duties of the state on whose territory the virus first appear; to the equitable access to therapeutics and vaccines by all states of the world; to the impact of on civil rights and liberties; to the reassessment of commercial contracts and to the administration of justice – the issues are as myriad as they are monumental. The first webinar in the series will be aired on Tuesday, 19 May 2020. The CCJ Academy is undertaking this endeavour in partnership with the General Legal Council of Jamaica, UWI TV and the IMPACT Justice Project.
