The Academy suffered the grievous loss of its Deputy Chair, Hon. Justice Jacob Wit, who passed away in January 2024. Hon. Justice Saunders, the President of the Court, and Hon. Justice Anderson, Chairman of the Academy attended the funeral service in Curacao. A special sitting for Justice Wit was held on Wednesday, 31 January 2024 at the Seat of the Court in Port of Spain.
