Legal Dimensions Arising from COVID-19 Pandemic
The CCJ Academy for Law will convert its 6th Biennial Conference into three online symposia all focused on the unprecedented legal issues arising from the novel COVID-19 pandemic. Those legal issues are global and local; they invade and pervade virtually every aspect of the ways in which we live our lives. From the duties of the state on whose territory the virus first appeared; to the equitable access to therapeutics and vaccines by all states of the world; to the impact of on civil rights and liberties; to the reassessment of commercial contracts and the administration of justice – the issues are as myriad as they are monumental.
The CCJ Academy for Law is pleased to present this first in the trilogy of webinars, in partnership with the General Legal Council of Jamaica, UWI TV and the IMPACT Justice Project.
Attendees asked to join around 9:30 am. The webinar will commence officially at 10:00 am; there will be an hour break from 12:00 noon to 1:00pm.
